Ralph Martin, the President of Renewal Ministries, is the host of the weekly television program The Choices We Face and is the author of many books.  He is also Director of Graduate Theology Programs in Evangelization at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit.

Pope John Paul II identified St. John of the Cross as on e of the saints from whom we all need to learn as we enter the third millennium.  The Pope tells us that John can teach us how to make progress in prayer, understand the difficulties of the "dark night" and reach the inexpressible joy of "spiritual marriage."
