CMF Pittsburgh 4/18/2009 Gathering of Catholic Men: Mike Clark, News Anchor for WTAE-TV Pittsburgh

The mission of the Pittsburgh Catholic Mens Fellowship is a responseto the call made by Pope John Paul II for a new evangelization,particularly the reinvigoration of faith among Catholics. Specifically,our mission is:

To raise awareness among Catholic men of their need to re-experiencethe spiritual awakening they originally received at their baptism, tonurture and deepen their ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ throughthe working of the Holy Spirit, so single and married men can accepttheir God-given roles as individuals in families, marriages, andchurches;

To encourage men to seek opportunities for faith-formation, whichmay include forming or participating in a men's faith sharing group atthe parish level;

To affirm and encourage our clergy while enthusiasticallyencouraging men to recognize their healing potential for our Church andby teaching men how to pro-actively support their Catholic faith at thefamily, parish, and community levels.
